You can apply for reimbursements through the electronic service (Iris) or by mail.
When you visit a contract provider, you will receive the reimbursement according to the fund’s rules during your visit, and you do not need to apply for the reimbursement yourself.For payments charged by non-contract providers, public healthcare fees, and for example, the cost of eyeglasses, you can apply for reimbursement either:
You can submit your application via Iris 24/7. Reimbursement applications are processed daily (from Monday to Friday). Iris provides detailed instructions on the required attachments for each application – there is no need to fill out a separate application form. Requests for additional information and reimbursement decisions will be sent to you in Iris.
Instructions: How to Start Using Iris
Go to hokelanto.omasairauskassa.fi.
Log in to the service using your Suomi.fi credentials.
The service works with all common browsers.
Accept the electronic processing of your personal data.
The fund will register your acceptance within 1–2 business days.
You will receive a confirmation of successful registration by email.

Once you have received the confirmation, you can log in and start using the Iris service.
Applying for Reimbursements
You can apply for reimbursements according to the fund’s rules.
Scan or photograph all receipts and documents related to your application.
Log in to the service.
On the “Compensations” tab, select the button “New claim”
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Attach all required documents.
Check that all pages are included and the information is clearly readable.
Submit your application
Supplementing Your Application
You will receive a notification by email if we request additional information.
Add and save the requested missing attachment or information to your application.
Send the application back to us (please note: simply saving the attachment or information is not enough; you must submit the application again).
Tracking the Status of Your Application
You can monitor the processing of your application and submit any requested additional information in Iris.The application you have submitted will appear on the front page with one of the following statuses:
Ready: Your application is in the processing queue.
Processing: Your application is being processed.
To be completed: Additional information is required for your application, and we have sent you a request for clarification.
Paid: Your application has been resolved; the decision and its reasoning can be found in the “Decisions” menu.
Rejected: Your application has been rejected; the decision and its reasoning can be found in the “Reports” menu.
By Mail

If you apply for reimbursement by mail, you must fill in and send the application form sv127 in addition to the receipts for the expenses you are claiming.The reimbursement application must be submitted to the fund within six months of the date the costs were paid.
